Some effective methods to treat dandruff problems

Dandruff is a very common problem these days. All thanks to stressful lifestyle and too much pollution around, people do suffer from white flake attacks from time to time.

There are plenty of shampoos and conditioners for dandruff which one can use to treat dandruff problems. One can also take help from some alternative methods to get rid of this problem. Here are a few ideas.


Black Tea

This can be used to fight back dandruff and oily scalp. Black tea has tannic acid which reduces the extra oil and it also has astringent that tightens the pores. One needs to add 2 table spoons of black tea in a large bowl of boiling water and then strain the black tea leaves after 10 minutes of boiling.

Let the black tea water cool down. Then spread it well in the scalp and hair roots. Wait for at least 5 to 10 minutes and finally rinse it off with a mild shampoo. One can do this at least thrice a week to get fast and positive results.

Apple Cider Vinegar

ACV or white vinegar is a good solution for an itchy scalp.  It also kills the bacteria and fungus created by dandruff. The acidic content of vinegar is very beneficial and it helps in reducing the dandruff flakes. One needs to add equal amount of water and white vinegar on the scalp and leave it for half an hour before washing it off with a mild shampoo.

Aspirin

If one wants to avoid medicated shampoos and want to stick to home regimes only then aspirin can be your saviour. This thing contains a good amount of salicylate which acts very efficiently in the eradication process of dandruff. So it is a good substitute of medicated shampoos. Take two tablets of aspirin and crush them into fine powder. Blend this powder with your regular shampoo and apply it on your hair. Keep it for two minutes and then wash it thoroughly.

Aloe Vera

It contains a lot of anti fungal and anti bacterial properties. Fresh aloes contain a lot of enzymes and it can break down the dead skin cells. So the dead skin cells get removed and so the dandruffs also get eradicated. Cut some fresh aloes and extract the gel. Apply the gel on your scalp. Keep it for half an hour and then use a mild shampoo to wash it away.

Baking Soda

This is a thing which can exfoliate and clean up the scalp. One can take a tea spoon of baking soda and dilute it will water to put it on the scalp. Keep it for 2 minutes and then wash it away with a mild shampoo.

If the dandruff attack is too heavy and if one is facing a lot of problems due to it, they can always consult a dermatologist. They will examine the scalp condition and then recommend a medicated solution to it.

They can also prescribe ketomac anti dandruff shampoos which are medicated and are very effective on dandruff problems.
